A quick check in with the blog before this week runs away with me... The last few weeks have been hard, long, and busy. Christmas also means end of the year here in New Zealand, so everything finishes all at once, ministries close down for the holidays and its generally quite full on! Mix up end of year admin, thank you's, kids celebrations, summer plans, christmas prep, envisioning for next year, dance practises, NZIS paperwork, Christmas shopping and petting zoos (oh yes)... and things get quite exhausting. We had our Junior Youth Amazing race on Sunday, where we ran 7km around Hataitai, the belt and Kilbirinie following various clues and challenges. It was good fun and the kids really enjoyed it! (I think my running around the Belt this year was my training!)
After the Family Christmas Celebration this Sunday, things will slow down.... I'm looking forward to some time off over the Summer to just stop. And rest. And be. New Wine Summer will be a good time to get refreshed and refueled, so I'm hanging out for that. A lush 5 days camping with friends. I wish I was more eloquent, but thats about all I can manage for now. Back to work...
