So the delightful kiwi children are returning to school today, which is very exciting! January has been a really quiet time and I can't wait to get back into the routine of activities and clubs. Yesterday we launched the Sunday morning kids activities with a family service - lots of drama, singing and a crazy video we had filmed around Wellington with a bunch of great kids from church. It was fun! Small Saints starts next Sunday morning....
The Wellington rugby 7s was on over the weekend and there were a LOT of crazy people walking around wearing all manners of outfits (my favourite being all over black body paint and fluorescent orange loin cloths maybe?). I can't tell you how this disturbed me until I caught on that something was going on in Wellington - rather than a large number of people experimenting with fancy dress! We had a great public holiday weekend making some leather bracelets to raise money for a church mission to Garanga, Solomon Islands, and yesterday I helped build a couch! Its been a great weekend catching up with friends in Wellington and having some good quality chats with people. I can't believe its February!
