Broken Heart

As a few of you know, my dad has just undergone some open heart surgery to replace the main valve going into the aorta. It has been a shock to the whole family after he collapsed at work 2 weeks ago, and just a really hard time for everyone. I've never felt so frustrated and helpless before being so far away! He is in hospital recovering in Oxford, will be transferred back to good ol' Northampton - it will be a long slow recovery but he is doing really well! Well done dad! Thanks to all of you praying for us xx

New Zealand news....

My brown rocket is going like a trooper and I have loved the new found freedom it has given me. I made a car shaped cake to say thank you to the Wrights - see the photo below!

Phono performed a fantastic gig at All Saints last week, a band that has sprung out of All Saints Worship. They were promoting their second CD "The Ocean View" and raising money for their mission trip to Garanga, Solomon Islands, later in the year.

We are in the process of preparing for Lent at church, and as part of that we are putting on an art exhibition of the "Stations of the Cross". A whole bunch of people from church have taken on the task of preparing a station, and a real variety of artwork has been created including a ginger contribution involving a canvas using papyrus, silver thread and the use of my ancient typewriter I found! Random, I know!
