It is winter. Ok, maybe just Autumn. But its the coldest its been since I got here. And I'm not liking it. It has rained for a week and I was forced to bring out my winter coat to fight off impending pneumonia. The ironic thing is that its still warmer than the UK... ha ha! The change in weather has coincided with the changing of clocks, so everyone has seemed to find the days that much longer (well, maybe they're shorter and darker) and lots of us have been ill with colds and generally run down.
I have spent the last 15 mins trying to find a picture of a grey cloud for my blog, but I think God was trying to say something when I stumbled across this amazing satellite photo of Wellington.I'm down near the no.1 and live on the peninsula - for those non-geographers, that little bit sticking out into the harbour. We have had a stunning summer, so I shouldn't really complain... but horizontal rain really isn't much fun...

I've been back at work for a week now, and am busy getting ready for the Xpedition Force holiday club I'm running after Easter, as well as juggling all the work the new term is bringing. Next week I'm off to the Climate Change and Governance Conference at Te Papa in Wellington,as part of my Social Justice work... so it'll be quite interesting and different :o)
