Earthquake!

I just felt my first earthquake! I'm housesitting for Ben and Teri this weekend, and was quite freaked out when the house started shaking at 11.42pm. I don't often phone people at nearly midnight, but thought I'd check if Christian and Maggie had felt it too (I'd been around the corner at their house all evening) and they had (which was a relief as it confirmed that it wasn't just my house that was wobbling...) and well, it was rather weird experiencing it on my own! About flippin time after being here 11 months, I say!

In true geographer's style, here are the stats!

I felt it too! It was a pretty freaky one, 2 sharp shakes. Glad it wasn't "the big one" :)

It felt pretty big!! Rob has been away all weekend at promise keepers so I had four children on my own... two woke up from the earthquake and two slept through!
I can't believe you've not felt one before!!
Welcome to Wellington!! :)

Gee thanks...... just what I need to hear. My baby is in a house that wobbles. And the "big one" is to stay away.

I hope the big one stays away too! The little ones are freaky enough!!
