We went to see the lovely Brooke Fraser at the Opera House last night, and it was the most AMAZING gig, awesome experience. If you have noooooooo idea who I'm talking about, check out the youtube link with a tv performance of "Deciphering Me" - she had the same 2 piece band with her, and the whole evening was incredible. It was great to see her in her home town too - Wellington is so proud to call her their own, and she was very much at home. I won't forget it. There were quite a few of us going, so the whole evening was special - we cooked up a feast at the flat and went into town from there.
My previous post was a bit "I'm knackered", so I've blended it into this one, making it a bit more upbeat! Landlubbers was great - it went really really well and it was a fun week. The family service on Sunday was just brilliant, we did "walk the tank" into the baptism pool - just hilarious. I haven't seen the 10.30am service so packed and rowdy! But you can tell how good a holiday club is by how sick I am at the end, and I've been utterly exhausted after this one. Its been great to have some time out (sleeping) and spending time with good friends. I'm looking forward to getting back into a routine and for things to get back to normal.
Its officially autumn/arctic winter now, so getting up so early in the morning is that much harder, but its worth it if I do! My mission for the next couple of weeks is to majorly stock up on warmer clothing and a new hot water bottle - after mine leaked spectacularly the other night and I woke up at 1am wondering whether I'd wet the bed. It is always reassuring to know that one is in control of one's bladder.

Wait till you have kids - leaking hot water bottle is nothing compared to stress incontinence. I blame Beatrice! jc xxx
