Family countdown

Contrary to popular belief, I haven't been enjoying cocktails 24-7 since my last post! The Langdon family arrive this Friday, and its taken a lot of planning and preparation to make sure everything is sorted for their 2 weeks here - it's going to be great!

They'll enjoy the stunning (rain and wind free, ahem) Wellington for the weekend, before heading up to Hawkes Bay for 2 nights - staying at the Beach Cottage. Hawkes bay is wine country, with art-deco things going on in Napier, and I'm really looking forward to going somewhere I haven't been already. Then we head inland and venture around Taupo and Rotorua - yay for more bubbling mud! Then up to Auckland for some city fun, and back home via Waitomo - check out our crazy hobbit accommodation after we've checked out the glowworms!

I'm just waiting to hear back from our accomodation at Lake Okereka near Rotorua. If all things go to plan, it'll be a beach, lake and hobbit adventure. In the winter. Hmmmm. Then back to Welly for a couple of nights, and then the boys and Ann fly home. Mum has an extra week in NZ to experience the wonders of daily life in Wellington to see what her daughter gets up to :o)

Apart from the mass holiday planning, our flat's been really chilled out and relaxed after a busy few weeks. It's been great. I've been catching up on all things Harry (Potter) with the arrival of book no.7, saw the most awesome Amazing Grace film, and enjoyed dressing up in an abundance of pearls to become Penelope Lofer for a murder mystery party on Saturday. I haven't laughed that much in a long time! Work is busy which is good - Sunday's are great, and the kids are loving the "God is green" series we're on. I'm helping Lyall Bay out with their lunch club on Thursdays which is such fun, and we're starting up our program in Hataitai in Term 4. So it's all go!
