Spontaneous

This weekend has been fun – spontaneous! Last week felt like a bit of a battering as the winds hit the city hard and the skies emptied themselves. When we thought there wasn’t anymore rain in the sky, it just keep pouring. On Saturday, after 7 hours of youth training (always fun on a day off!) we all went to see Joe Mac’s art exhibition at the Thistle Hall community gallery. It is such an amazing exhibition and his artwork is awesome – if you’re in Wellington, go see! In honour of "fabulous hair", Sarah and I went out on a fun Saturday night in town which ended with some random, again spontaneous, dancing to 80s tunes. Its great to explore more of the city and I have heaps more to discover.

On Sunday we made the most of the great weather in the afternoon and ate gourmet ice-cream at the waterfront – followed by, yes, again, spontaneous fun… a tour of a Japanese naval ship! Weird, and oddly worryingly, we just wandered onto it without questioning why it was there or when it was about to leave – but the Japanese sailors were very welcoming! I have never been on such a clinically clean ship before and you could eat off the decks.

"I know, lets go and explore it"

Work is good and busy. This term is a bit manic with Supakidz up and running again in school, the Light Party in a few weeks, a 2 year audit of the kids ministry to do, and all the usual daily things. Um, yes – this weekend is my 2 year anniversary of being in New Zealand!

Two years?! No way!!!!

Time passes quickly. I still remember the first time I met you...ahhhh. Can't remember which movie we were going to though.

Congrats on the anniversary - just remember, the longer you stay here, the longer we like having you here :)
(...does that sentence make any sense? hmmm)
