I've been really slack about updating this - sorry. I tried to start off the year slowly and deliberately, making sure we were doing things for the right reason, but well, it all just cascades into one giant ball of busyness and here we are. In April. Autumn is slowly creeping up on the capital, and its getting colder and darker. I'm looking forward to the clocks going back this weekend, which will make the mornings a little lighter. Thank you to my 10 readers for their comments on my last post. They made me laugh :)
So March... Sarah and I ran a Nooma Group for Lent and managed to make all 5 (sometimes interesting) sessions; I posted Easter parcels to family in Europe, one of which contained mint eggs that exploded; Easter parties and events at church; made more connections with other kids and youth workers in Wellington; had an awesome chocolate fondue with the girls on Easter Sunday; fun in the park with the Wrights on Easter Monday; played pregnant twister at Sarah Mac's babyshower (not easy); enjoyed an incredible New Zealand Symphony Orchestra concert; slept a lot; had enough school board meetings and other meetings to last a life time.... and thats about it!
Easter meant an unexpected few days off - it was weird not having it kick off the school holidays, but nice! It gave time and space to see friends, go on adventures to the beach with the J-Frows and a bush walk in Kaitoke with the Macs too.
