Last week was crazy cool! Insane, busy and crazy... but a really great week. The Phono CD launch party for "The Ocean View" was cracking, chilled out live music on the deck and it was great to hang out with some cool people. And I have had the CD on repeat all weekend, and its just lush. I feel like I'm making friends, and its just amazing to see how much my life has changed and fallen into place in the last month.
On Saturday I went on an adventure up to Waikenae for a Summer Wine Kids Leaders meeting. Pete drove me the 1 hour there and the 3 hours back (the return trip included a chocolate factory, womens prison, some shopping in Tawa, and a visit to Ben, Teri & Sarah in Johnsonville)... it was a lot of fun! I met up with Simon and Sally Eyre in the evening too - another couple from England enjoying adventures in Wellington... and I saw glow worms! Other weekend highlights included getting up at 3.30am to watch the England vs New Zealand rugby game - yes, we were insane, but I had to do my patriotic bit and defend the English in a room full of kiwi supporters! And as a result Sunday passed rather slowly in a sleep deprived manner - church, lunch out, supporting a friend as she preached at the Cathedral, and then the evening service.... and I came home and collapsed in an exhausted and overtired heap...
Melva and Ann come back from their adventure in India on Wednesday, so I am officially relieved of housesitting and cat duty then - and therefore unfortunately homeless! There is a potential flat available in the new year, but I'm just trying to sort out whats the best thing to do... I just want somewhere to call home, somewhere to unpack and I can relax and make a space my own. Wellington won't be home until I can sort that out, so until then I'll kinda continue to feel unsettled. But I am loving it so far, and things are very cool... :o)

dearest - too lazy to look up your e-mail address. You must stop your blog immediately it is causing your brother (sister actually) to stumble into the paths of covetousness. Missing you madly - love Janet xxx ps - trust you stayed up for the cricket too!
Ahoj Diane.
So you went to the suburb where I grew up! Tawa is where I used to live. I presume you went to Arohata Prison in the Tawa?
God Bless
James
Hey James, Tawa was cool! You seem to know the womens prison quite well... not that should be worrying at all! Have been checking out your blog from Czech land regularly - sounds like you're doing great stuff there.
Diana x
