Ok, so its been FLIPPING cold! We've had a wet week, its poured down and has been bitterly cold at times... but saying that, its pretty gorgeous today and I've just eaten an ice-cream. Oh well! Life has just trundled along merrily - on Tuesday Teri and I transformed the church office and it looks simply stunning. We spent the morning moving loads of furniture around, then moved most of it back, turned a few things around, chucked a lot of things out, and hoorah - it looks wonderful! Paul was away at General Synod in Christchurch,so we knew it was a safe time to trash the place :o) Being a place I work 3.5 days a week, its so nice to finally feel like its a nice place to be! We are mightily proud of our efforts and have just been to Spotlight to get some hessian to cover the noticeboards. Feedback from people has included "Wow! It looks amazing", to "whats different?" to "where have they moved the pile of chairs we put our coats on?" .... hmmm....
On Friday I spent a fun day watching classic 80s films, munching on crazy amounts of chocolate and keeping Cookie company (not necessarily in that order), as she recovered from her operation at her parents home in Lower Hutt. I've had some lovely encouragements this week - a voicemail from a lovely lady in Peckham, a gorgeous bunch of flowers from the PCC to say thank you for the holiday club (and flying halfway around the world) and an amazing kids cd from Aaron :o) This week is pretty busy, but I'm looking forward to next weekend (26th) when a whole bunch of us are heading up to a lodge in Otaki to celebrate Teri's birthday... can't wait!
