++ Hobbit

This week I told an Archbishop that I'd love to see him dressed up as a hobbit. I'm not entirely sure you're meant to say those kind of things to primacy!

Things here are fine - I've been pretty tired with working overtime at both jobs and just having a lot on, but I've made a concious decision (because not all of my decisions are concious obviously) to set out my priorities and look after myself a bit better. I'm also having the odd half day and I ditched a meeting I was meant to be at today, so its been really nice to have a proper saturday off.

Um, highlights over the last couple of weeks have been....
- Having a fun adventure up to Waikenae for a work prayer day with Ben (highlights include breakfast on a train at MacDonalds and finding a cool roundabout to play on)

- Relaxing on Saturday evening with Christian and Maggie
- Going to a craft exhibition with Katie on Sunday (I bought cheese!)
- Midwinter milkshakes at the Chocolate fish with Sarah
- Social Justice Commission meeting on Monday where I met an archbishop :o)
- Lovely lunch on Oriental Parade with Teri on Tuesday
- Watching United 93 last night at the cinema... um... harrowing!

One of the highlights of this week has beens some morning walks (with the occasional energetic run) which have helped shake off the morning grumbles and start out the day with a fresh start. Living so close to the water, there are lots of amazing views and walks on the beach that make getting up early worth it.
