Hoorah for the end of the week! It's been a slow, tiring one, with loads of work to catch up on and backlog to clear. And the jetlag has made it all the more enjoyable. The exciting parts included a lush girlie night on Tuesday evening, making 30 marshmallow caterpillars for Samuel's 1st birthday party on Sunday (mini marshmallows all stuck together individually with chocolate and silver balls for eyes) (he's having a creepy crawly party), and the enormous fun that was Mainly Music. It was our first MM session today, which is a preschoolers music/social program.... and it rocked! About 7 non-church families and the same number of church families, and it was just a great time - my favourite songs included the Pukeko stomp (for some reason you kind of march like an egyptian to look like the above bird?) and the stretchy lycra song. If only this referred to me wearing the orange lycra. No. It would clash with my hair. Its a big bit of fabric that you pull and tug. And all in all it's possibly the most fun you can have on a Friday afternoon. Who needs a normal job anyway?!
Anyway, its great to be back and its party central this weekend with Sarah & Joe's engagement party, Ben's 31st and Samuel's 1st! As I missed out on my last weekend (I was in the air and lost a day), I am feeling like I need a good catch up on sleep and rest... but well, doesn't look that likely!
