Housesitting

This weekend housesitting in Johnsonville has been fun - good Diana time out. Ben and Teri are away, so I'm looking after their menagerie of animals. So far I've fed the dog the catfood, and the cat the dogfood, realised that you should bake chocolate fish (the sweet lolly, not one of their animals) as they kinda nearly catch fire, and discovered that Porirua is a pretty fun place to get wet and buy a belt. I've also become addicted to Jodi Picoult books, and am on my third.... yay!

Life is good - busy. Our Mission: Miracle Maker holiday club starts on Tuesday, and there is quite a lot that still needs to be done, but with 23 kids signed up and heaps of leaders on board, it should be a good laugh. Last week we had a paint party at church and loads of people came to paint stars, planets, rockets and even some cheese (for the moon), so its starting to look more space like. I'll post some photos next week!

Some of my friends are all off to Australia on Saturday, so it will be weird not having them around for a week (Phono are going on tour!) and its made me really look forward to my 2 weeks off in November - the plan is to spend some time in the South Island with Sarah and mission up to Auckland for U2 with Cookie and the gang. Christmas seems so close now too, and I'll be in Wellington again, followed by some New Year celebrations up in the Coromandel... Then there's Summerwine, a flurry of weddings and that takes us about up to March! Exciting stuff...
