ONE

Today I celebrate being in New Zealand for one whole year. It’s been a personal landmark and I have a great sense of achievement in setting out on this God given adventure on this side of the world, and seeing where he’s leading me next. It’s been an incredible experience and I’m excited about what the next couple of years hold. I could never have asked for more amazing friends here – they have inspired me, supported me, shown me New Zealand and welcomed me into their lives and families. And well, check out the photos - they're a laugh!

Yesterday evening I arrived at friends to walk in to a “Happy 1 year Anniversary” orange party, where all the food and drink were orange in honour of my wonderful hair colour. Fanta, bright orange lollies on the orange iced cake and loads of cheese chips! Not forgetting New Zealand themed games... see flikr photo link on the side panel and crazy photos below :o)

My orange cake!

Trust me: I'm ginga.

Sarah can't quite believe Ben's impression of Mt Ruapehu

Recovering from doing a "hongi" - New Zealand maori welcome, where you rub noses :o) Thanks for um... the kiwi games Sarah!

"Ka mate!" Cookie's haka - just be glad I didn't post the video...
