I am now officially on HOLIDAY! Woooohooo! For two whole weeks (forgetting the one day at Social Justice in the middle of it), which will be just amazing. I'm so excited about heading off on a mini South Island adventure with Sarah tomorrow - we're flying to Nelson and hiring a car to go and explore the Malborough Sounds (photo flying over Sounds earlier this year) and top of the South Island. This afternoons packing will involve squashing books, art stuff, a sleeping bag, dvds, my many NZ maps (one must be prepared) into a big bag. Maybe some clothes too. We're spending the first 3 nights in the Sounds, at a friends Bach in the middle of nowhere, and the itinerary includes relaxing, walking, more relaxing, having some good quality God time, reading and lots of sleeping. I'm hoping the weather will be nice, as Wellington just can't decide between glorious sunshine (I got burnt yesterday) to hideous winter storms (with sleet). And yay, a break from the wind! I've been flat out since getting back from the UK at the end of July, and am looking foward to just being... still. Sunday, November 12, 2006
