October rushed by and I can't believe I find myself stumbling around in November already. The Light Party went really well, and 85 kids turned up! It was pretty awesome really, and it was so humbling to see nearly 50 All Sainters turn out to show their support and lead activities. Ben has done an incredible job jumping in to head up the various kids bands this year, and the Light Party was no exception. We had a full rock band (yay Christian on the drums!), and they got the little kids dancing and jumping around... The kids worship has really been awesome to see this year. Amazing.
If you're a kiwi and the role the church has in justice, then check out the new calendar that we've produced at Social Justice. Its a good'un. Buy it!
On Saturday Joshua had his 'underwater' 4th birthday party, so we had fun with 15 crazy preschoolers, face paint (2 tigers, 2 spiderman, a rather odd looking frog - sorry Henry - you get the idea), nemo piniata (dangerous man), and rather possessive pass the parcel. Joshua also had chickenpox which made it all the more... spotty... and exciting. He had a great time and I've just really enjoyed hanging out at home this weekend and enjoying the inpromptu fireworks that keep going off in Miramar. Lots of games, sparklers and fun.
