Over the last couple of weeks I've been running kids parties for different age groups at Small Saints, giving the kids from church a time to hang out together. The parties included a city wide treasure hunt for the 9-10 year olds, pizza parties, and the crazy fun that was the 3-4 year olds on Wednesday. Tents and peelable facepaint. Need I say more. Genius.
Other than that, I've got into the scary habbit of a daily 6.30am walk or run in the morning and have been carving out some important Diana down time. I'm just finishing Velvet Elvis by Rob Bell, a great book - read it. Also loving the Passion 07 Bundles that are now available on iTunes, each with talks (inc. one from the awesome Louie Giglio) and 2 new songs on each - all from the huge 268 generation conference in Atlanta earlier this year. We're really excited about seeing kiwi artist Brooke Fraser when she comes to the Opera House in April (yay for 3rd row!), and its also very cool that she features on Tim Hughes' new album out soon. I'm such a geek.
And for pure comedy value, this is why you should check what your friends are wearing when you get up in the morning...

Hello, pardon the intrusion but I just popped over via your mum's blog - can't remember how I got there. Anyway, it's so nice to read about the happy time you're having and to see all those lovely cheery young faces. (I'm more your mum's age.) Greetings from Edinburgh. Keep having fun.
hello gorgeous sister. sounds like life is good. cooking and eating with friends is so much more fun then eating alone...caroline, katka and i enjoy sharing the cooking AND WASHING UP!! I can't believe it is already been five weeks since you moved to the blue house - how time flies. Your family will be will you soon. One of the girls at work who is from Sydney is very excited - her Mum is coming over to the UK for a few weeks, so she has been counting the days down for the last few weeks. I've been away this weekend on a social work christian fellowship conference - i was really looking forward to being with christian social workers and i did enjoy meeting them but what i came away with more than anything was thankfulness for my homegroup - their love and support and prayers aswell as the knowledge that it is good to be each made different and to be doing different things, life is so much more colourful - your children's part's sound a lot of fun!
