Eastern Walkway

Breaker Bay

Monday was my usual day off, and making the most of a glorious morning, I headed out to the Eastern Walkway at the southern tip of the Miramar Peninsula. I can’t believe I haven’t been on the walk in the 2 years I’ve been here. Some of my favourite beaches are out there – Breaker Bay in particular, but I hadn’t been on the walk up the hill to the lookout. With a 10minute walk from sea level, you get to Ataturk Memorial Park where there is a memorial for Gallopoli, and then you can wander along the track as far as the Brenda Pass near Seatoun. It was absolutely still, and really silent. Hard to believe that the centre of the capital city is about 15mins drive away, hey? The photos speak for themselves really…. Just stunning.
