Its good to be at the end of the week and know that tomorrow's going to start with a glorious lie in. At the end of last week I went up to Waikanae with 5 other leaders from All Saints to the Willowcreek Global Leadership Summit. They film speakers at Willow earlier in the year and then have a video conference type thing around the world, with 100,000 leaders taking part. There were some inspiring speakers (Colin Powell, Jimmy Carter, Bill Hybels, Carly Fiorina) and although not everything about Willow's model is something we'd take on, it was great to have the chance to talk about things and see other leaders getting empassioned and motivated about All Saints. Sometimes it feels like pushing an elephant up a hill. But we had some great conversations about the importance of owning a vision, and I'm excited about seeing that lived out.
I've had some much needed walks and jogs in the forest behind the house this week. We're only a few minutes from the belt, so there's nothing like starting the day at 6am with views from the top of Mt Victoria. Its time to take stock, plan for next year and hang in there till the summer holidays. Here's a photo to leave you with - kiwi kids having fun on the water one day last week - nothing like some crazy kayaking action.
