So I have officially been in New Zealand for 6 months now! It is so crazy how quick its gone.... awesome to look back and see how God has sorted out so much and how he's been such a rock in a rather crazy time! In 6 months I have: moved 12,000 miles, found a flat to live, made some amazing friends, started 2 jobs, um, kept 2 jobs, run a kids holiday club, went to Summerwine and camped in a lush orange tent, inherited a sexy brown rocket, galavanted around Nelson on a seabiscuit, kayaked around the Coromandel (ok, just Pauanui), visted Auckland and Rotorua, developed an unhealthy addiction to smoothies, worked my way around the beach cafes, developed a loathing for Pak n Save, had a surprise birthday party & turned 25, and feel like I can now call Wellington home.
I am in the middle of running Xpedition Force, the first holiday club at All Saints. It has run better than I could ever have hoped and we have all had such a fantastic week. So far we've had 37 kids through the door, the band is awesome and I've had amazing feedback from parents and leaders. I had no idea how this week would go, and I am so relieved in many ways! 2 more days to go and I can have a break! Its been hard work, but sooooo worth it.
I had a really cool Easter and will post photos of the sonrise service on Mt Victoria, watching the sun rise over the city at 6.30am, and photos of xforce here soon....
