Chickens

Or a hens party to be more precise! On Saturday a bunch of us celebrated with Sarah FD, counting down the 35 days until she gets hitched to Mr Joe. Lots of fun, laughs, girlie pampering and one stunning wedding dress worn by Sarah. Well done girl, you did a good job wearing it all day. Nice veil too.

I won a prize in the "draw a picture of Sarah in her dress, on the piece of paper balancing on a book on top of your head" competition. Gosh. Lets just say the kidswork is paying off. In the evening we went out to Strawberry Fair for dessert. I'm looking forward to saying goodbye to the lifesize cut out Sandra Bullock's "Miss Congeniality 2" body with Joe's head stuck on top... its starting to scare me. Quite a lot.

Sunday morning was great, as the kids are getting excited about Christmas, and their art canvasses for our exhibition are flooding in. Let's just say that Mary has one eye (but I must be grateful after a very close call resulting in us nearly having 2 Josephs and no Mary - how PC) and a shepherd is mid snowstorm, or is that his flock? I can't quite tell what another one is. Hmmmm... I'm looking forward to Reuben's king, where he has stuck a picture of himself on as the head. Sweet!

This week will be crazy cool getting set up for the Family Christmas Celebration on Sunday. It's weeks like this when I begin to wonder why I am so ambitious, but hopefully something will be clobbered together. Other highlights will include a girls night, checking out the new blond Bond on Friday and the crazy task of beginning Christmas shopping and writing cards. As if airmail dates mean anything. Pah. Nothing like last minute.
