Hey! Happy Christmas! I hope that where ever you are in the world, you are having an awesome time celebrating the birth of Christ :o) I have had a really busy lead up to Christmas - finishing my job at Social Justice, and with loads of talks and services to prepare for All Saints. It's alllllll over now though, and I can finally put my feet up and enjoy the summer holidays for the next wee while.
I spent Christmas with some wonderful people, and even though this year had the potential to be a little bit sad, it turned out to be a great day and I was blessed heaps. I had lunch with Cookie and her family, a real South African braai, and it was soooooo good. I'm such a carnivore! Loads of laughs and it was awesome sharing in their family time.
I then went out to spend the evening with Ben, Teri and Jakob in Johnsonville, and had a lovely evening falling asleep on the couch and hanging out with them. They had made me the most AMAZING present - my own "Kiwi Christmas" story, about "Diana, who decided that she didn't want to celebrate Christmas this year" as things were too much and she was too sad, so her friends all wrote her a letter - and then they'd compiled a whole bunch of encouragements and notes from my friends here to bless me heeeeeeaps this Christmas. It was awesome! So perfect. There was even a letter from Jesus. Its so cool. But yeah, it still made me cry! (Sorry Teri!)
Anyway guys, those of you that are celebrating Christmas Northern hemisphere styleee, I miss you all heaps and will see if I can maybe celebrate with you next year... we'll see what we can do.
Thanks for all your love, encouragement, support and laughs this year
