On a Saturday afternoon mission to find some much needed joy, I went on an adventure with Ben, Jakob and Breanna JFrow up to see the gun emplacements at Breaker Bay. Unfortunately Teri wasn't able to join us :( When we arrived at the car park, I said "Ben, isn't this where the nudist beach is?", to which Mr Johnson-Frow replied something to the effect of "Ah, apparently there is a nudist beach, but I've never seen any".
There were nudists.
Lots of naked people.
Naked people frolicking in the waves
Naked people basking in the sun.
Naked old men.
And, in case you wondered, once you climb up the hill to the gun emplacements, you get an even better view of the naked people from up above.
Jakob was a trooper and hiked all the way to the top, and fought through the bush that was more like a jungle when you're only 2 years old and 1.5ft tall. Lots of sliding down slopes, jumping down trenches, fending off branches - our reward, an ice-cream at Worser Bay. Thanks for the adventure Ben, it was fun!

(for those interested, this side of the arch = Wellington's finest nudist beach)

I vaguely remember following the icecream van onto the nudist beach at Bornemouth as a child. Innocent enough mistake to make. Lots of wrinkly old men and sagginess. Never have I made that mistake again.
