We're back from a fantastic few days up the coast at New Wine. The Lower North Island venue is in Waikanae, about 45mins north of Wellington, so it was great to head up the coast and have some time out of Wellington. The weather, contrary to the weather forecasts, was fabulous - bright blue skies with scorching sunny days. Highlights were swimming in the warm, calm sea (after sprinting over the boiling hot sand), hanging in the tent of joy, lots of rest, and hearing some inspiring speakers. It was great to hang out with friends from All Saints - there were about 74 from church there, so quite a merry bunch. A restful, healing and challenging 5 days. Tenting is fun, but I don't think hanging in fields really agree with me - I seemed to be the dish of the day for all bugs and spiders. We're now back in Welly, back at work and trying to make sense of what 2008 holds, although I seem to be more exhausted now than when I finished 2007.... life is good though.
